About This Spot

Stepping into Ristorante Tabià Feder con Minimarket is like pausing time in a quiet mountain village where stone walls and warm timber embrace you in a gentle invitation. Nestled in Frazione Feder, this spot carries the spirited calm of Canale d'Agordo’s alpine charm, where the rhythm slows and every detail feels carefully lived-in. The wooden interiors and modest décor tell stories of generations rooted in tradition, creating a space that is both welcoming and unpretentious.

Here, dining unfolds as an intimate experience, one where flavors reflect the surrounding landscape and local customs. The kitchen quietly crafts dishes that speak of the Dolomites’ harvest—earthy mushrooms, richly textured polenta, delicate gnocchi, and aged cheeses that carry the patience of mountain pastures. Each bite invites a connection to the region’s soil and seasons, while the presence of a small minimarket inside offers a glimpse into the everyday life and artisanal offerings of the area. It’s the kind of place where you might take home a wedge of cheese or a taste of house-made delicacies, continuing the story well beyond your meal.

The atmosphere here is unhurried, the kind of place where staff greet you with sincerity and attentiveness that feel familial rather than formal. The hospitality is quietly generous, a reflection of local warmth that lingers long after the last course. Whether you’re passing through or settling in for a meal with friends, Ristorante Tabià Feder con Minimarket invites you into a shared moment—not just beneath wooden rafters, but in the kind of heartfelt hospitality that turns a simple lunch or dinner into something deeply memorable.

May 2024: We stopped in for lunch after visiting a family village in Cogul (family reunion group De Biasios). An Italy side family member and friend recommended this restaurant. Initially it was just 2+4 but turned into the restaurant accommodating around 20 of us. The staff made all adjustments, the primis and secondos, and vino flowed. Such a small kitchen buy they did it. We all ate well and shared everything. Most of us were from Florida, some Texas, and everywhere else in the U.S. We had a great time. Still think about the Tagliere di formaggi, salsa alle pere on a daily basis lol. I'm so terrible with names and didn't write it down but the Server and Host was great. She did great job

We spent 6 nights in Caviola and this was the best restaurant we found in the area. Prices are higher than in other restaurants but the quality of the food is amazing. For example we've had the best, most delicious mushrooms ever in this restaurant. The pasta and the wine were also full of flavour and superiour to other restaurants in the area. If you're passinng by or staying in the area you should definetly try this restaurant.
